What are weep holes?

Weep holes are small openings in structures like brick walls or retaining walls that are crucial for allowing water to drain out, preventing moisture build-up, and mitigating potential structural damage by reducing hydrostatic pressure; essentially, they act as a vital drainage system to protect the building from water-related issues like mold, mildew, and structural deterioration by providing ventilation and allowing trapped water to escape to the exterior.
